IMP was purchased by a big international brand. The Scientific Department was excluded from the sale and became their own entity. They needed an identity that was modern but flexible while maintaining trust and familiarity, yet still ensuring consistency across all platforms.
Their old IMP identity had history, but was visually stuck, stale and now obsolete. SPS offer complete innovative solutions for laboratories in order to maximize profitability and improve productivity. They have over thirty years of experience in their expertise and are a well known and respected laboratory solutions supplier over numerous industries.
The solution evolved into a colour palette incorporating the science of light, transformed from the playful rainbow to a scientific tool. These also fitted in with the “think different” approach used by Google and Apple to enhance the brands advanced multifunctional capabilities and set them apart from the restrained colours of their competitors’ branding. The obvious answer to a standard company font was the no-fluff Helvetica.
SPS has continued to evolve as a respected identity over the last six years that stuck and lasted. The next steps will be to amplify their presence in the digital realm with graphics that support their full spectrum solutions to laboratory equipment.
